五年生の時に行ったミニロボを操るプログラミングの授業。みなさんの夢を描いたカードを国際宇宙ステーションに届ける事業への参加。先日、Umi国際室の主催で行った、インドネシアのJICAの職員の方とのオンライン授業。私が教員になった当時、ロボット操作を自らプログラミングすることや、自分の書いた物が宇宙に届けられること、海外の方と中継で授
業を行うことなど考えもしなかったことです。

The online class with Indonesian JICA staff members that was organized by the Umi International Office the other day. When I first became a teacher, I never imagined that I would be programming my own robot operations, that something I had written would be sent into space, or that I would be able to teach classes via live broadcast with people overseas.

また、広く世の中に目を転じてみると、科学技術の発達による様々な便利な道具の普及や、世界の最高峰で活躍する日本人スポーツ選手など、新しい時代は着々と歩みを進めています。こうした社会の中で、皆さんが自分らしさの実現を目指していく人になってほしいと願っています。
