An Oooka South student lengthens their lifespan, through the development of a healthy heart. This is done because we ensure student health, in mind and body. Additionally to this, our students get along well with friends, and study willingly.
The school contains 707 school children and 41 members of staff, with all of these individuals spanning 21 classes. The grounds of Oooka South are surrounded by beautiful flowers and other forms of nature. It is a place where smiles can been seen, dreams can be envisioned, and singing voices can be heard.
We hope that each student, at Oooka South, attends school every day with smiles and cheer, while enjoying their study. When a student leaves our school, we hope that it is with pleasant memories and a positive learning experience. For us, witnessing student self-development is a great pleasure.
We ensure that our school lunch is always delicious and healthy, and all of our lessons follow the new educational guidelines. We hope to see all of our 5th and 6th graders, swimming 25 meters, in our school pool. Also, we would like each individual student to be able to freely express their own thoughts and opinions.
On July 3rd, at the Numazu Cultural center, all of our students present a musical performance. The center provides an unprecedented atmosphere, with us being the only school to provide musical performances here. It is hoped that students will achieve a great sense of pride, excitement and achievement from their performance here.
The annual school events calendar has now been produced. Parent participation and cooperation, in regards to these events, would be greatly appreciated and welcomed.

Hello,

My name is Chris, and I am the new ALT here.
Although my time at Oooka South has been short, it has so far been an amazing and exciting experience. All of the students express great willingness, in wanting to learn English, with many initiating English conversation with me outside of the classroom. I aim to carry on providing fun and enjoyable lessons, where positive learning experiences can be made. Additionally, I am happy and privileged to be able to eat lunch, and play games, with the children.
I have moved from England to a Japanese workplace, and although language barriers currently exist, I have been made to feel very welcomed here, by staff and students. Everyone is very friendly and caring, to an unprecedented level. I want to try my hardest here, and exceed others expectations of me.

I cannot describe in words, the experience I am having at Oooka South, and the happy, caring atmosphere experienced here. However, I feel extremely privileged to be here, and I thank everyone responsible for letting this to happen.

If you ever wish to speak with, I would be honored.
Thank you.

Chris Kingshott
Assistant English Language Teacher.
