I remember when you were in the fifth grade, you would gather together on the grounds after returning home before the sports day to practice medicine ball, which was the grade event. When I asked your homeroom teacher at the time, he said with a smile, "This grade gets along well, and we gather together like this to practice on our own." I could see this kind of behavior later on in the nature class when you worked on campfire dances.In the sixth grade, he became the face of the whole school and a good role model for the younger students in pair activities, committee activities, club activities, etc. He loved the younger students, especially the first graders, and led the whole school to make school life fun. Due to the condition of the grounds, the sports day was held in an irregular manner, but all the students were able to give their all right up to the last event, the "Super Smile Big Ball Roll," thanks to the efforts of the top grade　students. I remember how, during the school trip, the students were smiling and having a great time when it was time to have fun, but when it was time to call out to each other and take things seriously, they all took the time to do so. At the farewell party for the sixth graders, you all looked on with warm eyes and gentle smiles as you watched the performances of the younger students. I could feel your growth. 

思い出されるのは、皆さんが五年生の時、運 動会の前に、帰宅後グラウンドに大勢集まって 学年種目のメディシンボールの練習をしていた 姿です。当時の担任の先生に尋ねると、「この学年は仲が良く、こうして自主的に集まって練習しているんですよ」と笑顔で話してくれました。 こうした姿は、その後の自然教室のキャンプファイヤーのダンスへの取組などでも垣間見ることができました。六年生になると、学校全体の顔として、ペア 活動や、委員会活動、クラブ活動などで、下級生の良いお手本となってくれました。一年生を はじめとした下級生を可愛がり、学校生活を楽 しいものにしようと、全校を引っ張ってくれました。グラウンド状態の関係で、変則的な開催 になってしまった運動会でしたが、最後の種目、「スーパースマイル大玉転がし」まで全校児童 が全力で取り組むことができたのは、最上級生 のみなさんの活躍のおかげです。修学旅行では、楽しむところは笑顔で思い切り盛り上がり、守るべきことは、みんなで声をかけ合い注意し、真剣な態度で臨んでいた姿が思い出されます。六年生を送る会での、下級生の出し物を温かい 眼差しと、優しい笑顔で見守る様子からは、みなさんの成長が感じられました。
